Do I love a boyfriend jean or what? On this recent trip to New York City for the premiere of the film The Mink Catcher, I got hang out at Lincoln Center and shoot this denim on denim look. Look how crisp the picture is. It’s reflective of the spring air we were experiencing at the time in NYC. And honestly, there is nothing like Lincoln Center. I detailed this trip in this blog post when I introduced you to Katherine Harper. Weren’t the cherry blossoms in those pictures just heavenly? We had such a great time that weekend.
One of the things I always do when I’m in NYC is head to the Schutz Shoes store on Madison Avenue. The Brazilian shoe boutique is one of my favorites. You can order online as well but there is nothing like stopping by the boutique to see what is new. I grabbed several pair of shoes including these lace up sandals you see in this post. They also come in black. I also snagged these beautiful nude heels that you saw in this post. And wait until you see these sexy, fringe heels I got. I just shot these for a future blog post. Ooh la la!
Any who… I like to wear denim on denim. The trick to this look is that your denim pieces should not be the same shade. Otherwise you will look like you attend a private school and your school uniform is matching denim. For this post, my jacket is slightly darker than my washed out boyfriend jeans. This combo is really comfortable and made it easy for a full day in the city.
My look: Jeans – Joe Fresh boyfriend jeans (on FINAL sale – $29) / Shirt- Joe Fresh oxford (on FINAL sale) / Jacket – Joe Fresh denim (on FINAL sale – $19) / Shoes- Schutz shoes also in black here / Bag – Louis Vuitton (old) but I love this tote that I just purchased (it’s reversible and only $54) / Necklaces: Harper Hallam and The Woods / Sunglasses – Nordstrom / Lips: YSL Blond Ingenu
Am I getting too casual for you? Let me know. xoxo- Tanya
