Don’t laugh, I like a high waisted jean. It’s a dead giveaway for my age. It just makes everything look better. If you agree with me you know exactly what I’m talking about. You will recall that I have shared with you a new source for luxe jeans – DSTLD premium denim. I detailed my shipment box in this previous blog post and promised you that I would wear them and photograph them. Here they are.
For this post, I styled them in a dressy casual pairing which is basically my daily outfit. Why? Because dressy casual works for meetings, lunch, charity work, running errands and the dinner date with the hubby. If you know me well you see me in this type of look all the time.
These jeans are the DSTLD high waisted skinny jeans in the color dusk (length regular). They fit me true to size. I have just ordered the mid-rise cigarette jean in the color overdye (length long). I ordered a size larger because I want to see if I can make these a more relaxed fit/look. Once they come in, I’ll shoot them and we can see how those fit. I just got the DSTLD mid rise cigarette cut jeans, regular inseam, in indigo vintage. They fit really true to size. They’re a nice skinny jean until mid calf where they have a straight cut and are perfect for boots to slip under.
I really want to try the black power stretch – I’ve heard really good things about that material.
