Easy Home Decor Updates
The easiest way to update your home for spring is with pops of color. In the image above, I chose to add soft blues, but you could add other spring tones like greens or yellows. You can do that with pillows, wall art, candles, you name it. My personal favorite way to add color is with pillows. This light blue chevron throw pillow is a more muted way for you to add color. I have more colorful pillow options below. If you’re not a fan of colorful pillows, try some pillows with texture instead like this cream embroidered tassel pillow cover. A pillow cover is a great way to change up your home with each season without having to buy new pillows.
Simply changing items out can also make a big difference. Switch out the plates you use every day for some colorful or seasonal dishes. These Vietri cocktail dishes are beautiful and chic. You can also add some new glasses or mugs to match your updated home decor. I love these mugs because they are well made and come in beautiful colors. Even changing your tablecloth can make a huge difference.
Another option to easily update your home decor is with a rug. Changing out a rug in your living room can get pricey. Instead, consider changing out the runner in your kitchen or hallway. Some other bigger furniture pieces that will give you a quick update includes this basket lamp or this wall mirror. A popular trend right now are scallop edges. Some easy ways to add this into your home is with this scallop edge basket, this scallop tray or this scallop edge sheet set.
Lastly, bring the outdoors in. Add a faux or real plant to make it feel more spring-like in your home. You can also bring in some faux florals to brighten up your home. For something more permanent, add this rose wall art to your home or add a fresh spring scent with this scented diffuser. Coffee table books are another easy way to change out with the season.

Excellent information as I am going through spring cleaning this weekend. It feels good to bring in the color, flowers, and clean lines. Thank you, Tanya!!
Thanks for all the good ideas, Yes, I’m updating this year, New paint, new landscaping, new blankets, towels, pictures, etc. I keep saying this every year, but I’m actually going to do it this year. I just need to pick out the paint and I’ll probably go from there. Oh, by the way, I like your black and white outfits. Happy international women’s day.
Those scallop sheets are super pretty!
Serena & Lily is definitely one of my favorite sources! Love my Balboa counter stools!
