This is a follow-up post to last weeks Costa Rica destination story I did. I promised you that I would detail some of the things we did while on vacation with LuxeBae. So here we go!
Pete and I love to travel and we were so excited to explore Costa Rica for the first time. When we travel, Pete is the photographer and I am so thankful that he is an expert. I reply on him to use a high quality, digital camera like the Olympus® E-M5 Mark II. While we capture the mandatory shots needed for the blog post (fashion, packing list, location) we do like to explore the country and get some shots of the local surroundings. This is best done with natural light. You will see in the beach shots that a storm was rolling in and we just went with it because it provided such a great backdrop. We don’t like to effect this with a flash because the lighting will look unnatural.
I mentioned before that our full day excursion was to Rio Perdido. This place is actually a resort of its own. I don’t know if you have ever been to Costa Rica before but we were so glad that LuxeBae provided a private driver for us. Their address system is literally something like “third resort after making two right turns past the small village”. I’m not kidding. There is no way we would have found Rio Perdido on our own. I’m glad that LuxeBae made all our arrangements including this full day excursion. You can zip line, relax in their thermal baths, explore through hiking and mountain biking, go white water tubing and enjoy their spa. It’s set in a beautiful, luscious forest filled with howler monkeys. You will see them everywhere. AMAZING!
Speaking of photography, I’m partnering with Olympus today to bring you the Olympus “Travel Light with a Free Flight” FREE airline travel offer. Just purchase an Olympus E-M5 Mark II and click this website for instructions on how to redeem your FREE domestic U.S. flight. Click here for a list of retailers where you can purchase the Olympus E-M5 Mark II or go here to order online. My favorite feature of this camera is that it has built in WiFi which makes it so easy for me to transfer pictures to my smartphone for instant posting.
Where would you go? What would you take pictures of? How would you shoot it? xoxo- Tanya
P.S. If you are wondering what to pack on a trip to the beach, I am including my packing list below. Also, today is the last day of the Shopbop sale!
