What’s in your bag? I particularly love a good tote bag. And when Reese Witherspoon gave me her “Totes Y’all” tote bag, I about came undone from excitement. It’s the perfect size to carry everything you need. Especially a camera and everything you need for a blog shoot.
In this blog post I told you that Pete is my photographer when we travel. For local shoots, I use Mary Summers. She is a blogger herself and knows exactly what I’m looking for in my shots. Be sure to check out her beautiful blog So Then They Say. I am a huge fan. What you don’t know is that these shoots are loosely planned. I know what fashion and collaborations I need to shoot with my editorial deadlines in mind. But we really just set out and capture what we can on any given day. For example, this shoot was done on the State Fair of Texas fairgrounds but we really did not want it to look that way. When we walked in we turned a corner and saw these amazing chairs and decided that it was the perfect setting to show off these Draper James pieces I recently purchased. It was very spontaneous but as you can see, it really works to make the clothes I’m wearing pop. I really love their denim and it has an amazing fit (I am all legs so I am always looking for jeans that are long enough for me). And I love this super soft, short sleeved sweater. Perfect for our Dallas weather!
