I’m so excited to show you our recent Family Room update featuring Crypton Fabric. Why did I chose this fabric? Because we have pets! If you are a pet owner you know how hard it is to keep them off the furniture and remove stains. Crypton Fabric is antimicrobial as well as stain and spill resistant to both water and oil-based stains making it the ideal choice for this project. A huge thank you to my designer Amy Berry and her impeccable choices which helped my vision come to life. Now, let me show you the results of this performance based fabric. Before/After pictures at the bottom of this post.
I’ve worked with Amy for several years on various projects in our home. I trust her selections 100% and defer to her on all choices. As I say, decorating is not my expertise. I’m happy to pay for that expert advice! Want proof? Check out how she transformed my TanyaFoster.com headquarters and helped me create the Assistant Office. So when it came time to update the family room, I knew I would pull her in for selections and guidance.
I’ve worked with Crypton Fabrics before and know how well they are made and hold up. It is the fabric used to recover my couch in my office (blog post with details). That project was done in 2017 and I can tell you that the fabric and couch have held up incredibly well. I knew I wanted to keep my family room couch and love seat as they are incredibly well made but I also realized they needed to be updated. You’ll see in the before/after pictures below that the fabrics were well ‘loved’ and the stylings were a bit dated. These fabrics have lived through the kids growing up, having friends over, movie nights, drill team practice and much more. Needless to say, it was time for an update.
