Happy Monday people. How was your weekend? Mine was great. I had one of those rare “absolutely nothing” weekends. There was literally nothing on my schedule and that never happens. It’s such a great way to recharge.
Let me preface these pictures by saying that my sweet husband has taken over as photographer while Mary Summers of the blog So Then They Say is traveling. She is doing a five-week French class in Paris to learn the language (follow her blog for incredible pictures and her journey). Mary is my regular blog photographer for all outfit posts. Pete is doing a great job shooting me while I am usually blabbing something like “that’s not how Mary does it”. What a patient man!
I found this adorable dress at J. Crew recently and it is perfect for our HOT summer days. It’s been 100 degrees in Dallas and it feels like 120 in the sun. This Geo brushstroke dress is made of cotton and so light. It recently sold out but J. Crew just restocked it (hurry and order it before it sells out again). The print also comes in this skirt. I paired it with my favorite Tkees and some simple strands (here too – only $15). Add my go to Elaine Turner clutch and you are ready for the day or evening. If you want to dress it up a bit, add heels like these. The J. Crew bracelet I have on sold out but I like this one too (on sale). Aviator sunglasses always work, no matter what the outfit is. I still like this little summer dress that I told you about in this blog post too.
Geometric summer style – Dress: J. Crew (or this skirt with same print)/ Clutch bag: Elaine Turner / Shoes: Tkees; or wear nude heels like these / Necklaces: Talbots here and here (on SALE) / Sunglasses: Ray Ban / Polish: Essie Bikini So Teeny (on toes) / I love this little summer dress too (first seen in this blog post)
And yes, I am reminding you AGAIN that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale continues this week (through August 3). I have several blogs posts coming up about my many trips to the store and great finds. Stay tuned!
