It’s probably the most asked question on the blog – who does your hair. That’s an interesting question because I can answer that in so many ways. It depends on what you are asking me. Cut, color, style?
Keeping “older” hair in shape is an ongoing battle. I have always had long, thick hair. It’s been highlighted for so many years that I forget my natural color. I’m sure you thought I was a natural blonde (wink, wink). As I have gotten older, I have noticed that my hair is getting dryer and thinner, especially at the bottom. Frequent trims are helping that a lot and I swear by my brilliant people at The Michael Flores Salon. Michael Flores does my color and I see Chad or Glenn for cut and style. Also, I only use salon products on my hair.
You might remember this recent post where my accessory for The Art Ball was my hair extension. Michael was so kind to help me select my perfect color of Hair U Wear and pin it in. Although you can buy these online and in certain stores, I highly recommend that you let a hair professional help you. You can tell that mine matches my hair exactly and that really matters. The Michael Flores Salon sells these in their salon. Mine is the 23″ wrap around pony in color Golden Wheat.
Chad Demchuk asked if he could shoot a video demonstrating the versatility of the Hair U Wear ponytail extension. I was happy to be his guinea pig. My pictures are from our afternoon styling session. The first picture is how my hair looks every day if I were to just take a blow dryer to it and nothing else. Pretty sad isn’t it? As you can tell, Chad quickly worked his magic hands in to my hair and smoothed it out. After putting my hair in a ponytail (picture #3) he clipped in the Hair U Wear ponytail extension (picture #4). This is how I styled it for The Art Ball. From there he took it and created several different chic up do’s that only took minutes. It is AMAZING what you can do with extra volume! The up do’s are so chic and I would wear my hair like this to a cocktail party. A HUGE thank you to Chad for making me feel so gorgeous.
By the way, the Hair U Wear clip in ponytail is only $65. That’s a lot of bang for your buck! xoxo- Tanya
