This is always the busiest time of year with Mother’s Day, graduations, weddings, and more, so I thought it would be the perfect time to look at what to wear to these events. A flattering and stylish patterned dress is always a good idea for a dressy casual look. Let’s take a look at my favorite patterned dresses and how to style them!
One of my favorite dresses for spring and summer is this balloon-sleeve zebra print midi dress. The zebra print is so flattering! I love the light lavender and white color – it makes the print more subtle and classy. The puff sleeves also really elevate the entire dress. Something to note is that the dress does not have a back zipper and pulls over your head. Another printed dress I love is this snakeskin smocked puff sleeve dress. It is an elegant dress with an edge. I normally don’t wear snakeskin, but this softer, more feminine style is gorgeous. Both of these dresses have pockets, which is always a bonus in my book! The A-line style of the dresses is a flattering, chic and forgiving style. I sized down to a 0 in both of these dresses.
Now let’s look at how to style these patterned dresses. A midi length dress always looks best when paired with a heel for an elongated look. Since it is springtime, I paired them with this white heeled sandal. You could also wear a nude pointed toe pump for another chic look. If your event is outdoors, don’t forget the sunglasses! This style is perfect to wear for Mother’s Day, a graduation, an outdoor wedding, or any other spring event that you have coming up.
Speaking of Mother’s Day, don’t forget that it is on Sunday! Check out some last minute gift ideas HERE.
