Call me crazy, but I am O B S E S S E D with the documentary series Tiger King on Netflix. Have you seen in? ER MA GAWD! Who are these people? If you don’t know what I’m talking about just click here for the official trailer. In fact, when we have conquered the COVID-19 situation, I’m taking a road trip to Oklahoma to visit the G.W. Zoo to check on those tigers. Who’s with me? In typical Carole Baskin fashion, let’s talk about the animal print craze! Plus, let’s get caught up. I’ve got an amazing Barrington St. Anne tote bag GIVEAWAY to tell you about today. Oh, and be sure to listen to this podcast where I share my thoughts on Tiger King.

Let’s spend some time just getting caught up. I love these blog posts because it’s where we really get to chit chat. On Instagram, I ask my followers how they are doing every day in IG Stories. In this time of isolation, I feel like we all need to check on each other daily. Humans are social by nature, so when we have to shelter-at-home, it’s almost like we got sent to the naughty mat. Am I right? UGH!

A couple of observations from lonely Tanya over at Casa Foster. 1) I have realized that I still love working from home and not much has changed on that front. Everyone freaking out about learning to work from home is throwing me for a loop. But when I think about it, I totally get it. If you are used to a very structured work day in an office environment, working from home can feel too free-form. Try setting some office hours and boundaries (although I am the worst at this). 2) I miss meeting my friends for lunch, going to store events, charity meetings, business/brand meetings and out to restaurants for dinner. I really miss our family! We haven’t seen our grandchildren since Christmas. FaceTime and phone calls really help but I miss the human touch. A hug would be a luxury right now! 3) I am an introverted extrovert. That means that while I do like being out and about socializing, I draw my energy from being at home alone. It recharges my batteries. It’s helpful to know your personality –  what gives you energy and what zaps it from you.

OK…enough about that. My #TigerKing obsession has me revisiting some of my animal print posts. I want to thank my dear friend Mary Meier-Evans (her amazing blog and podcast are The Curious Cowgirl) for this blog post idea. We talk daily (praise be!) and she said talk about your love of animal print on the blog. These looks are still very much in my closet and worn often. Animal print, when done right, can be the perfect neutral. They key is to not wear it head to toe. Hello Carole Baskin – are you listening? Animal print isn’t going away anytime soon, as it’s still trending through Spring and next Fall too. It can be a blouse, dress, accessory, phone case… you name it. Don’t laugh, I just ordered this printed tee.

GIVEAWAY ALERT: Totally off-topic, I’m partnering with Barrington today and doing a HUGE giveaway on Instagram. That is the only place to participate, so be sure you are following and liking posts on @tanyafosterblog. Look for this Barrington bag post and follow the directions!

Have you watched Tiger King? I’m developing a #TanyaTigerTribe 🙂

xoxo – Tanya

P.S. If you are ask me, Carole Baskin, Don Antle and Jeff Lowe are just as guilty as Joe Exotic. Thoughts?
