There is just something about a man running his hands through your hair. Especially when it is Michael Flores. Fortunately for me, I got to check out the Michael Flores Salon. It was a chance to have fresh eyes evaluate my hair color and cut.

The Michael Flores Salon is located on the 6th floor of the Neiman Marcus flagship store on Main Street in Dallas. The salon is beautiful, brightly lit and inviting. I love how clean and vibrant it is. There is a generous amount of natural light that floods the salon since all the windows overlook the downtown Dallas streets. I met with Michael and master stylist, Chad Demchuk, to evaluate my hair. Basically, we all agreed what I have was pretty good so I just gave them carte blanche to do what they wanted to. The results are a warmer, more blended blonde with a fantastic blunt cut. We took several inches off to get rid of the long, stringy look that I let linger much too long. You might know this cut as the “lob” or “long bob” but Chad calls it the “robert”. That’s because the “bob” is a short haircut and since this is a longer version it is a “robert”. Get it?

They have a full staff that offer color, cut and everything in between. The full service salon even does lash extensions. One of the perks is that you can valet park at Neiman Marcus and get some shopping done while visiting the salon. Or enjoy lunch at the Zodiac Room immediately outside the salon doors.

The verdict on my hair? I love it. I highly recommend visiting them and giving the salon a try.
