Our trip to Bali was such a magical one. I have tried to give you a little sampling of the wonderful things we experienced while there. We’ll call this “postcard from Bali”. The visit to see Katut (the 96-year-old medicine man who Elizabeth Gilbert meets in her book Eat Pray Love), the beautiful Hindu temples, rice fields, coffee plantation, monkey forest (yes, they run free!), Ubud Zoo and elephant ride are just a sampling of some of the things we got to do and see. I told you how we traveled to Bali and where to stay in this previous post. I want to give a shout out again to the Viceroy Bali Hotel and our driver Dwi! They made our first journey to Bali a joyous experience.
I would love to answer any questions you might have. Or hear about your trip to Indonesia. Please leave me a comment.

thanks for sharing your trip pictures. Bali is on my travel bucket list and when I get to go , you’ll be the first contact for information!! BTW…in the picture with Katut, what are the numbers on the little orange cards hanging on the post on the right? There’s so much detail here….love the little mermaid up on the shelf in the back! 🙂
Cher-
You will love it when you go.
The numbers behind Katut are the line numbers. You line up in the morning to have a visit with him. This is his home on we are sitting on one of his porches.
He is adorable!
