In celebration of 50 years of Ralph Lauren, the Ralph’s Coffee pop up is currently on the 6th floor of Bergdorf Goodman. Stop by for a cup of joe.
Backstage at the Nicole Miller show. Mary Kay did make-up and Oribe did hair for all the model. It’s fascinating to watch this process. This is Luis Casco, make up artist and Mary Kay Global Beauty Ambassador. The look for the show was heavy eyes and an 80’s vibe. We had great seats to the runway show as well.
We stopped by the Monarch Rooftop Bar where rewardStyle had a fun lounge. I love these new camo pants!
LOOK! Victoria and I became “Selfie Latte’s”. How fun is that?
This light weight turtleneck dress (size medium) was perfect for my new belt bag. I contemplated this fashion trend accessory for a bit but I think it really works. And I like it! The dress is going to be a staple in my fall wardrobe. It’s perfect with a jean jacket too!
Soooo… this happened! Rachel Zoe was launching her shoe line at Bloomingdale’s. We popped in to say ‘Hello’ and she couldn’t have been nicer. We were actually discussing how had met before at an event in Dallas. And of course she is saying “I like your belt bag – so chic!” Her uber chic suit is linked here.
Have you been to The Baccarat Hotel? OMG! Head to the bar and lounge for drinks. Every single thing is served in Baccarat crystal! STUNNING!
Need a ride? This is the street where we happened upon a night shoot for the show Instinct. Fascinating to watch!
I love a good graphic tee and this one doesn’t disappoint. Check out this blog post with more great t-shirts.
We attended the rewardStyle rooftop party on Saturday night to celebrate the release of the book Stories from the Influencer Next Door. This is the lovely Amber Venz Box, co-founder of rewardStyle and the creator of VenzEdits. I’m super proud of Amber and her husband Baxter Box (also co-founder of rewardStyle) as they are Highland Park High School alumni! They are expecting their third child any day now.
One of the many joys of being a blogger is the people you meet! This is Jennifer Lake of Style Charade. I’ve been following her on Instagram forever and felt like I already knew her. She is from Chicago and does an amazing job on her social media and blog. Check her out!
I can’t say enough about this amazing draped open wool crape coat from Lafayette148. It comes in several colors.
The perfect loafer! I live in mine.
My NYFW was a quick four-day trip this time. I have to say this at the very beginning of today’s post. I go to ENJOY myself, get some quick meetings in, have fabulous meals, shop, attend a fashion show or two and move on. No one is dying to have me sit in the front row of their runway show. Let’s be real, I’m just not that important! So, here’s a very quick recap…
First things first. Please take a moment to remember 9/11. I will never forget this day and I am always glad to be home. There is just something weird about being in NYC on that date. I definitely will not fly on 9/11. Thank you to all the firemen, police and first responders who served us that day and continue to keep us safe. I will always be grateful for your service!
A quick run down of how the four days in NYC went. I took my part-time assistant, Victoria with me for her first NYFW. We had so much fun together! The pictures give you and idea of what I wore. I had meetings, spoke on a panel at the Style Collective Conference NYFW panel (what an honor!), attended a few events and parties, went backstage to see the hair and make-up at the Nicole Miller show, watched the Nicole Miller runway show, had my first cronut (OMG!), walked a ton, shopped, met Rachel Zoe, stumbled on to a night shoot for the TV show Instinct, met several lovely readers and followers who were so kind and then left. Whew! How was that for a quick recap?
We stayed at The Roxy Hotel in Tribeca which is a great location because the NYFW shows are in SoHo. Here’s a travel tip: If you are traveling to NYC from Dallas, take Alaska Airlines. You can fly out of Dallas Lovefield and it goes to LaGuardia Airport terminal A. Only a few airlines use that terminal and its so easy! Also, Uber and taxi’s are right outside the door.
My style during NYFW: I have learned to stick to my personal style. It works best that way! That’s it in a nutshell. All looks are linked for you.
xoxo – Tanya

Love this post and loved following your NYC trip on Instagram stories. Lets be real… it’s a belt bag, not a fanny pack, right?
Enjoyed this post . . . and your style which is consistently YOU. And, Rachel Zoe . . . OMG.
Not for me
