Should you wear shorts with heels?

Happy Monday! I have just found the very best body lotion that makes you look like you have supermodel legs! I’m giving you the details on the blog today as well as answering this important fashion question. Should you wear shorts with heels?

I had writers block as I sat down to answer this question yesterday. So I decided to post the picture on Instagram and Facebook and ask for input.  WOW! You gave me some really great input. The quick answer is YES you can wear shorts with heels. But lets dive a little deeper.

Here are some things to consider when pairing shorts with heels. What is the length of the short? The white scallop short (comes in 5 colors) I have on and is 5″ inseam and I no longer wear shorts any shorter than that. Long gone are the days of short shorts for me. Also consider the height of the heels. These nude wedge heels are 4″ and that’s about as tall of a heel that I will wear. Mostly because I am already 5′ 8″ and don’t want to tower over everyone. If you want to wear a lower heel consider these (first seen in this blog post). To make the look a little sportier, I suggest a nude wedge.

I paired my shorts and heels with this amazing handkerchief hem shirt that comes in 5 colors. It fits oversized. I ordered mine in size medium and it fits big but I like the oversized feel and drape. It you want a more fitted feel, then I suggest ordering one size down. I wear it with skinny jeans too but it would also be great with white denim.
