Happy Monday! I hope everyone got to enjoy Mother’s Day yesterday. Personally, I am grateful that both our kids were home and we also got to spend some time with my parents. I’m double lucky to be a mom and to still have my mom. Now, let’s talk about why a flounce sleeve shift dress and low metallic heels are one of the easiest fashion combinations.
If everything goes according to plan (weather permitting), I am currently in Whitewright, Texas getting ready to jump out of an airplane. This is our bad weather makeup day for the Bombshell jump benefitting Birdseye View Project. You can read the details here. For those of you inquiring, we are tandem jumping for a cause at Skydive Spaceland Dallas. Good news! We met our goal and have raised over $100,00 for veterans and first responders. THANK YOU to everyone who supported me!
Now, let’s talk about why I love a flounce sleeve shift dress and a lower metallic heel. The number one reason is easy – it’s the simplest fashion combination making it easy to style and get out the door. You make two choices: dress and shoes. This look perfect for church, Sunday brunch, a luncheon or even a work meeting. I know you are used to seeing me in a 4″ heel but I do occasionally need a lower one. These metallic ones have a 2 1/2″ heel and fit true to size. They are so comfortable and you will have no problem wearing them all day long. Also, think of the metallic color as a neutral – it goes with everything.
I have just found the PERFECT red lipstick for blondes (with blue undertones). It’s Charlotte Tilbury matte lipstick in Red Carpet Red. Pair it with the Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in Kiss ‘N’ Tell for the perfect pout. If you are a blonde, it’s best to stick with red lipsticks that have a blue undertone. That way it works with your coloring.
Check back here tomorrow to hear how the skydive went. Prayers are appreciated! xoxo – Tanya
