I am literally terrified to show you this blog post. It’s because every woman I know DREADS swimsuit season and I am showing you pictures of myself in a swimsuit today. So I hope you will be kind and we won’t have any body shaming going on.
These pictures were shot by my sweet husband when we were in Florida recently. You might remember this blog post about our trip. Neither one of us know how to edit photos so when I shoot with Pete, you get raw pictures. But for the purpose of today’s post, it works well because I really feel that you need to see honest pictures. My point is, a great one piece swimsuit can work wonders. Miracles!
The one I have on is really old but I have curated all my favorites that are currently out there (they are linked below). Let’s be real, at a certain age or body type, you just don’t need to wear that string bikini anymore. Be sure to get a swimsuit that has a good lycra content in the fabric. I tend to like the ones that are a bit more expensive because they are so well made. I have always found that you get what you paid for in swimsuits. Invest well! Nordstrom seems to have the best selections available. Be sure to check out this blog post about swimsuit coverups too.
Swimsuit shopping tip: I like to order these online (especially with FREE shipping and returns) and try them on at home. DO NOT try them on in the store dressing room. The lighting is horrible and you will never look good. Order one size up on a one-piece swim suit. It will fit better and you won’t be tugging at your hindquarters. You know what I mean…
Who is looking forward to summer and a beach vacation? Raise your hand. xoxo – Tanya
