Summer is here, the temperature is rising and it’s time to vacation. You don’t have time to leave town? No worries, I have the perfect staycation for you – The Joule Hotel in downtown Dallas.
If you follow me on Instagram (@tanyafosterfilm) you already know about this little getaway. What, you don’t do Instagram? Well then be sure to LIKE my Facebook page because my Instagram pictures post on their as well.
I was recently invited to rediscover this beautiful hotel on main street conveniently located next to the flagship Neiman Marcus store. I checked in on a Monday afternoon and lost myself in relaxation at the rooftop pool. Have you ever been up there? Super gorgeous pool that cantilevers over main street. Totally relaxing and you will forget that you are in Dallas. After that I spiffed up a bit for dinner at CBD Provisions. By the way, that stands for Central Business District in case you were wondering. Pete and I enjoyed delicious food and wine with excellent service. Be sure to try their avocado toast (pictured above)! Afterward, we enjoyed a late night cocktail at Midnight Rambler, the bar that is in the decadent basement of the hotel. Super chic!
The next morning I enjoyed room service because vacation = breakfast in bed. Don’t you agree? And of course I couldn’t leave without some much-needed time at the ESPA Spa. I indulged by sitting in the steam room and cooling down with ice chips that were in a container that looked like it would be on a space ship. The 50 minute swedish message was a m a z i n g! The spa provides all of the great ESPA skincare products to get ready with so I left with super soft skin and moisturized hair. The Vital Fitness Studio is on site as well and I have enjoyed a wonderful yoga class before.
Before you know it my staycation came to an end but not before popping in to see what great merchandise their stores Taschen, Traffic LA and Tenoversix had. There were some major sales going on (hint, hint). The rooms are gorgeous and the hotel boast beautiful art and aesthetics. You will lose yourself and completely forget that you are in Dallas at the Joule Hotel. Click here to book a reservation and give it a try.
Happy Friday. Happy weekend. Happy June. xoxo- Tanya
P.S. I am happy to share with you that I have been published and featured on The Liberty Project. Check out my story about my trip to Oberammergau, Germany here.
Thank you to the Joule Hotel for inviting me. All opinions are my own.

This is my perfect idea of a vacation! Going to a hotel, letting someone else bring you food, clean your room, and do your laundry! I would prefer a staycation over packing and travelling, any day!
This is definitely my idea of a “staycation”!!! I love staying at hotels! I haven’t been to one this classy before, but I could definitely get used to living in the lap of luxury for a couple of weeks!!!
What a gorgeous place to stay.I put it on my bucket list!
I love coming back to this page, and viewing this hotel! What an amazing life you could have, just living here! I guess if I won the lottery, I would either live there, or buy a house with an indoor/outdoor pool!!!
