I had the honor and privilege of hosting the most delightful filmmakers at the Dallas International Film Festival this year. I have made new friends in the wonderful folks from P & R Productions. Their documentary film about a mayoral race in the small east Texas town of Jacksonville, did so well that it earned a Special Jury Prize at DIFF. They kept thanking me for hosting them. It is I who am thankful for their friendship and gift of a beautiful, moving film – TOMATO REPUBLIC. Enjoy all the pictures from their world premiere last week.
Congratulations Jenna, Whitney, Matt, Anthony and the entire team. Look for exceptional things to come of these filmmakers as they are brilliant at what they do. Be sure to LIKE their facebook page so that you can keep up with them and find out what happens with the film. Oh and by the way, we will be heading to Jacksonville, Texas to eat at Sadler’s Restaurant and attend the Tomato Festival on June 14th!
A complete list of the 2014 DIFF film awards can be seen here. Thanks for following my DIFF journey on the blog.
