Checking in, Foster party of one. Luxury Hotel in the SoHo area of New York City? No brainer – I chose the Trump SoHo Hotel! It’s the only AAA Five Diamond rated hotel in the SoHo area making it the perfect choice for our New York Fashion Week trip.
I’m going to detail our exact itinerary for last weeks trip to NYC with fashion show details, restaurants, shopping excursions and brand meetings. Today’s post is just about the fabulous new hotel we found. You might remember that I traveled to NYFW for the first time last September with several blogger buddies of mine. You can read that recap blog post here. One of the things I mentioned is that I would like to stay in a hotel more ideally situated to the fashion shows. The shows tend to be in the Meatpacking District. Which makes the Trump SoHo Hotel ideal for our stay this time. If you saw Monday’s street style shoot, we are shooting right around and across the street from the hotel.
This time, I was traveling with Lisa C. and Bela P. (you will meet them in the recap post) and we decided that location was everything. We booked three rooms at the hotel and then I reached out to see if they wanted to partner for my NYFW experience. I tell you this because there were some extra special perks for me along the way. Let’s start with our flawless check-in. Several brands and shows had delivered items to our hotel and they had them ready for us as soon as we arrived. Once I got to my room, I had a beautiful cake made in the shape of a purse (for the fashion blogger) with a lovely welcome card from the hotel manager. There was a fresh fruit plate, water bottles and chocolates all waiting for me. Attention to detail will always win me over! Now let’s talk about my spectacular room with stunning views. We’re talking about a bedroom with king size bed, living room with a dividing wall from the bedroom and an enormous bathroom with luxury amenities. I was on the 32nd floor and my room was a corner room (Room 3209). I could see the Hudson River and across to New Jersey, the city view and Empire State Building to my right and the Freedom Tower to my left. I marveled at this view morning and night because it was panoramic. Stunning!
Trump SoHo New York, the first Trump Hotels property in downtown Manhattan opened its doors on April 9, 2010. Located on Spring Street in close proximity to the posh enclaves of TriBeCa and the West Village, Trump SoHo is just steps from Manhattan’s world-class galleries, restaurants, boutiques, and nightlife. Boasting unrivaled views of the city’s spectacular skyline, Hudson River, Statue of Liberty, Freedom Tower, and Empire State Building, Trump SoHo rises 46 stories with 391 elegant guest rooms and suites, an 11,000 square-foot Spa at Trump featuring New York’s only luxury hammam, Koi SoHo restaurant is located in the Trump SoHo Hotel.
Although I didn’t have time to visit the spa, I do want to tell you about it. Designed by DiGuiseppe Architects and located on the seventh and eighth floors of Trump SoHo, the 11,000-square–foot The Spa at Trump features nine private treatment rooms and wet rooms, a state–of-the-art fitness center, two separate authentic luxury hammams for men and women – the first in New York City, indoor and outdoor relaxation areas and an extensive menu of treatments and services. Guests seeking the ultimate in relaxation may opt for one of three luxurious Spa Suites, offering access to a connecting couples–sized treatment room, an in–room yoga kit, and additional exclusive spa amenities, including a private, in–room sauna in one of the suites.
I highly recommend the Trump SoHo Hotel. If you visit during the summer months, there is a lovely roof-top pool not to be missed. To book, click here. Trump SoHo Hotel is located at 246 Spring Street, New York, New York 10013 | Phone: 877.828.7080 or 212.842.5500
