I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Pete and I are three days into our two week European vacation and having a fabulous time. Check out our day to day adventures on my Instagram stories. Don’t worry, I will post a full blog post detailing the trip once we are back in Dallas. Today I am actually featuring one of my favorite European brands, Marta Scarampi. She has the most gorgeous fall collection, which includes a fabulous cape for fall. A cape is a great layering piece to have for fall that instantly elevates any look. How to Style a Cape
You may remember that I introduced you to Marta Scarampi in this post. This Italian brand believes in “slow fashion,” where they do not create your garment until it is ordered, meaning you are getting only the highest quality garments. The quality and style of their pieces lasts for years, making their pieces worth the investment. I own several Marta Scarampi pieces and wear them on repeat. They are timeless and chic. One piece I am in love with for fall is the Rachel Mondrian Cape. Talk about chic! I love the sleek and flattering silhouette. It is made out of a lightweight microfiber, making it a great layering piece. It instantly elevates an everyday look and is also great for traveling. The cape comes in seven gorgeous color choices, all perfect for the fall season.
Now let’s take a closer look at how I styled my the Rachel Mondrian cape. Above I went for a classic all black look. If the weather is mild, you’ll want to wear it over something short sleeved, like this black mock neck turtleneck sweater. Once it gets cooler, you can easily wear the cape over a sweater or long sleeve top. I paired the top with these straight leg coated jeans to give myself some texture without sacrificing a longer line. Complete your look with designer ballet flats, sunglasses and handbag to look European chic!
