First of all, THANK YOU for all the comments, e-mails, text messages, tweets and phone calls about yesterday’s very personal blog post. It’s really nice to hear that you like what I have to say. I read every single one of them and often leave a reply comment on the blog (beneath the comment you left for me). Now, back to our regular programming.

News flash: It’s HOT! Well, ok that’s not news. And I am not going to complain. Remember those ice and snow storms this winter that caused “Icemageddon” in Dallas? The sunshine feels good. Especially when you wear a man’s shirt.

When it is hot, I don’t like clothes to hug me. Who wants to sweat and have fabric stick to you? Yuck! This old shirt (on SALE; order a size larger than usual for a man’s look) that wears like a man’s shirt is one of my favorite button down shirts to throw on. I wear it with white jeans (only $54) or shorts all the time. It’s roomy and so comfortable because cotton breathes well. I have a fashion trick for you. You can actually do this with one of your husband/boyfriends shirts. Or raid your next door guy neighbors closet. Leave it untucked (very hard for me) and casual. Pull your look together with some simple accessories like I did with this reversible bag (inside is navy) that you have seen me use before, straw hat, lace up sandals (they also come in black) and simple chain bracelets.

If you see me running errands or having a casual lunch with friends, you have probably seen me in this. Don’t forget that early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale continues this week for Nordstrom card holders and everyone will have access starting Friday, July 17th. I have already started receiving some of my fall 2015 merchandise that I got on SALE! Can’t wait to share what I snagged.
