Happy Wednesday! I hope you had a wonderful holiday. The 4-day weekend was such a treat! We just relaxed, spent time with family and friends, saw a movie and got ready for the work week. The good news is it’s a 3-day work week. Yahoo! Today I’m going to show you a great use for my chambray shirtdress. I’m styling it as a jacket over a column of white. It’s such a great use for something you probably already have.
First of all, can we discuss my bad hair days? There were so many days I had to shoot when it was 1) about to rain 2) had just rained 3) the humidity was 100% and 4) Dallas thought it was Houston and acted accordingly (Texas people will get it). I’m tired of puffy, swollen hair so today I’m sitting in Gaby’s chair and getting my long-overdue keratin treatment. I’m shooting on Friday so when those pictures get published, you will definitely notice a difference. Praise Be (The Handmaid’s Tale peeps will get it)!
Several weeks ago I talked about the importance of a good shirtdress in this blog post. One of the things I discovered is how versatile it is. You can belt it and today, I am styling it over a column of white and using it as a jacket. It is such an easy styling solution. Just leave it open and wear it over white jeans or shorts and a simple white shirt or t-shirt. It instantly elevates the look. I wore this look in this blog post when I introduced you to Victoria, my intern. If you feel like you have seen me in something similar, take a look at this blog post. It’s done with a white shirtdress.
Now, repeat after me. It’s Wednesday, not Monday. Happy Hump Day! xoxo – Tanya
P.S. Gaby Chico does my keratin treatments and she is the BEST! You can book her at 214.476.9838 Follow her Instagram here. She only takes referrals so be sure to tell her I sent you. 🙂
