Happy GOOD FRIDAY! Happy Easter weekend! T.G.I.F. It’s been a while since I did an Instagram Round Up so I thought we would do that today. And I’ve missed chatting with you so let’s get caught up too!
I’m so happy that we have a long, holiday weekend. It’s much needed around here. Between wedding planning and our youngest graduating from college (yes, both are happening in May) I need a little down time around here. I’m thrilled that the college kid will be coming home and our entire family will gather at our house for Easter. Pete is always in charge of large family meals and I set the table. He actually loves to cook and do this so my thought is ‘have at it’! If you are looking for amazing recipes and tablescape ideas, be sure to check out my dear friend Alicia’s blog The Lush List. She’s really good at that. Me, not so much.
I love to answer your questions and I am sending more surprise boxes our with some beauty products and appliances that I have been talking about on the blog (Dermaflash, GloPro…). These packages will be really good! TO ENTER: Leave a comment on today’s blog and tell me your favorite Easter holiday family tradition. BONUS: Leave a comment on the IG round-up photo on my Instagram account and make sure you are FOLLOWING me on Instagram. I check all of these before randomly selecting winners.
Today I am sharing some of the posts I have done on Instagram that I’ve not necessarily covered over here on the blog. Instagram is a great way for me to post something quickly, especially if I am trying on clothes. Beneath each picture, I will link you to all the items. Just click to shop. My Instagram also syndicates to my Facebook Page and Twitter accounts (just FYI…).
I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday weekend filled with joy. I am blessed to have you as one of my subscribers and I’m grateful you are here. xoxo – Tanya

Brooke got to go with me to the Kendra Scott candle launch media event at the Nasher Sculpture garden. We had so much fun together and she got to meet some bloggers that she loves following. My dress is sold out but this one is similar. Y’all, Brooke’s adorable ruffle faux wrap dress is only $55! And it comes in white too!

The Kendra Scott candles smell divine and come in four scents. Get them all! They also make great gifts.

If you know me at all, you know that I basically live in Highland Park Village. I have all my coffee meetings there and usually meet friends for lunch at any one of their restaurants. Bird Bakery is one of my favorites! On Tuesday I was meeting my dear friend Ashley for lunch and got to say hello to CEO and owner Elizabeth Chambers Hammer. Elizabeth and her husband Armie Hammer founded the restaurant and bakery in 2012 in San Antonio. The second one opened in Dallas last year and I am a huge fan! You can regularly see them both at the Dallas location working hard alongside the staff. I truly admire their work ethic (and their two beautiful children)!
This is the outfit I had on for lunch on Tuesday (above with Elizabeth). Forgot to tell you my favorite lunch to order at Bird Bakery. It’s the California Turkey Sandwich but I order it Protein Style (without bread) and ice tea. Sometimes I even pop in and get it to go. YUM!

When I plan out shoot days, Brooke helps me with my wardrobing. You saw this blue dress in yesterdays blog post. The rest is coming soon. This handbag is one of my favorites for spring! It comes in numerous colors.

This combo has been on major repeat for me and is basically my uniform. For me, great jeans and crisp white shirt are always in style. Pete and I were at the Perot Museum for a fascinating evening with an astronaut. Of course, I had to grab the shot on the frogs outside! 🙂

My favorite Easter tradition is still holding an Easter egg hunt, even though my girls are 19 & 22. Eggs are stuffed with cash and candy now! Such fun times!
Dan and I golf on Easter.
I golfvwith pastel pink and yellow golf balls that day and pass out easter candy to fellow golfers and the golf Marshall.
I wear what I call my confetti golf outfit coral skort with pastel blocked golf shirt.
after golf we do the brunch at the clubhouse
Happy Easter
My favorite Easter tradition is having my girls home, attending church together and lunch afterwards with our entire extended family! Hope you have a blessed Easter with your family!
Easter for me is church and family. There is ALWAYS an egg hunt and ham on the table. Then if weather permits-a walk along the canal. This year we will once again be pushing a stroller as our newest grandson Cooper arrived last month. Blessings to your family and fellow readers.
My favorite Easter tradition is being with family, sitting around the table saying our blessings and watching the excitement of the children (and adults) gathering the hidden eggs. It’s like a treasure hunt and so much fun.
Lunch at my parents house for Easter was always special! My mother set a lovely table. I have several of her Easter figurines and her bunny salt and pepper shakers now that I use on my table.
Our favorite Easter tradition takes place on Good Friday, making veggie pizzas & grilling them on the Big Green Egg with our adult children! Everyone loves it & looks forward to it! A new twist on tradition!!
My family always makes a pilgrimage back to Michigan to spend it together with my grandmother. This year we have our 2 pups in tow, so it should be interesting!
Happy Easter to you & yours!
My favorite tradition is spending time with the family.
I don’t currently have a specific tradition due to some life changes and relocation – need to start some new ones! 😀 However, while growing up our next-door neighbor had an incredible tradition she did every year. She would always host a big party in the afternoon on Easter Sunday every year, complete with elaborate egg hunt for all the neighborhood children. And that’s not even the most amazing part! She had a studio on her property where she would create ceramics of all kinds. Every year she would spend a couple months casting and firing dozens of various figurines (rabbits, chicks, eggs, etc), elaborately painting them, and then finishing each one with a neighborhood child’s name. She would set them up on a table every Easter for all the recipients to pick up theirs to take home. Looking back, I’m in awe at all the effort she put into this!
