My secret? It’s IDEAL PROTEIN. I have lost ten pounds and it melted off. By the time you read this, I will be in Phase three of the program (there are four phases to Ideal Protein) and I absolutely love it. Let’s be real. Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. The Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method is a diet program that offers weight loss of and average of 2-3 pounds per week. This program focuses primarily on fat loss and naturally suppresses your appetite. Ideal Protein manufactures and distributes products to health professionals and you must sign up with a center to enroll in the program. The program was medically designed and developed over 25 years ago by Dr. Tran Tien Chanh in France (typical isn’t it – the French are thin people). There are four different phases which help stabilize the pancreas and blood sugar levels. While on this program you will teach your body to live off its own fat reserves (or as my coach refers to it – your fat savings account). You will also learn that simple carbohydrates can keep you from weight loss.
You will be restricting sugars both simple and complex until your weight loss goal is reached (Phase 1). You will learn why you gain weight and how to lose it properly. Most importantly, the program trains you to rethink how you eat and better enables you to make smart choices.
While on the Ideal Protein plan, you will be taking some required supplements and eating prepackaged meals that the company manufactures. There is no sugar allowed as long as you are on the program. This program can be very strict to stick to, especially for those that may be used to eating carbohydrates or sugar (that was ME). You must follow the plan precisely so no cheating is allowed. Foods on the NO list:
Pasta, rice, potatoes, legumes, breads or carbohydrates
Rooted vegetables of any kind including beets and carrots
Sweet peas or corn
Fruit or fruit juice
Cheese or other dairy
Soda (diet or regular)
Don’t worry, you will see these foods again later after you have lost all of your desired weight. The Ideal Protein packed food is good and my absolute favorites are the bars because they make snacking on the go very easy. Everything is perfectly portion controlled and you document every single thing you put in to your body in a daily food journal. Drinking 64 ounces of water a day is also a requirement. I will be honest and tell you that the first three days are the absolute hardest as your body is going through a detox. Can you imagine all the toxins it is purging by cutting out sugar and carbohydrates? Yikes!
