This is probably the #1 question I get. What make-up do you use? That is a tricky question because I use lots of different products. Additionally, I try hundreds of new products from amazing brands to stay updated on beauty trends. Occasionally, I will adopt a new product into my daily routine. Everything I am showing you today are my tried and true products that keep me in tip top shape. This is my daily make-up routine!
Before I get too far into this… I wanted to share with you that I have just tried something new to keep my brows in shape. You might remember that I have had microblading done to them (read this blog post). Even though that fills in and keeps them beautiful and full, it doesn’t keep them in shape. I pluck mine for daily maintenance. The Spa at the Joule Hotel reached out and asked if I would try threading with Rula Sharkawi and I was happy to give it a whirl. She is amazing and has her own cosmetics line too. Basically, threading is pulling out your hair with precise movement of a thread. There is no pain and it feels like someone is plucking your eyebrows. Rula quickly got my eyebrows in beautiful shape with a high arch. There is a special this week and I am sharing the details at the very bottom of this post.
OK, now to the meat of the post – my daily make-up routine. I’m going to list what I do every morning and link to all the products I use daily. However, if I have absolutely nothing going on I will only apply mascara, my daytime moisturizer and lip gloss. I love to give my skin a break. If you have a favorite product that you swear by, please leave me a comment at the bottom of this post. I would love to know what works for you. FYI- I do not get my make-up done professionally for blog shoots. I always do it myself.
Morning cleansing routine:
Face wash: Le Metier de Beaute replenishing oil cleanser (I have dry skin) | Moisturizer: Le Metier de Beaute Ultra Replenishing Solution | Eye cream: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue
Note: I let all these products soak in and settle while I grab my morning coffee (after I have my daily Glotrition drink and take my OLLY vitamins).
Daily make-up necessities:
Sunscreen: Due to everything that happened in this blog post, I put SPF 50 sunscreen on my face and hands every morning (read this blog post) | Primer: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream or Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge Radiance Serum (both of these layer nicely with everything else I use and make your foundation look flawless) | Eyelashes: Lancome Cils Booster primer with Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara on top (read this blog post about best mascaras) | Under eye cover up: Urban Decay Naked Skin | Foundation: Amore Pacific | Concealer: Cle de Peau | Eye primer: Mary Kay | Eye shadows: Chanel, Urban Decay | Multi purpose palette: Kevin Aucoin (capri/cool pink), it makes a great bronzer | Blush: Charlotte Tilbury (from this set) | Make-up brushes (I have so many that mine are mixed); brush cleaner | Eyebrow get: Mary Kay | Lip liner: Charlotte Tilbury | Lipstick: Tom Ford and Charlotte Tilbury although I like a lot of different lipstick brands | Lip liner: Charlotte Tilbury | Highlighter: What’s Up by Benefit Cosmetics | Setting spray: Mary Kay (this will keep your make-up flawless all day long) | Body shimmer: Charlotte Tilbury Supermodel Body
Note: I don’t use every one of these products every day. I mix it up, especially if I want a neutral look vs. a dramatic look. Daily look vs. luncheon event…
Be sure to check out the blog posts (below) about other skincare brands I tried and really liked (that’s how they made it to the blog). This will show you how I change things up and give my skin a break every once in a while. My favorite stores to purchase most of my beauty items are Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. I can oder online to replenish what I have. With free shipping! My perfume that I have worn for years is Chanel Allure.
Tata Harper | Colleen Rothschild | Tula | Dermalogica | ZO Skin Health | Beauty Bioscience | Blue Mercury M-61 | 5 ways to have better skin now
Whew, that’s it. I should look like Marilyn Monroe with this regimen! xoxo – Tanya

Hi Tanya,
I love reading your posts. They are always very informative and helpful. I was wondering if you would mind if I ask you who you used for your microblading on your eyebrows? It is something I have wanted to do for several months. There are also many price ranges from $200 to $1000. I just would like to pick someone good that knows what they are doing. I would appreciate any advice or information you could give me. Thank you, Kim
Kim,
