Happy MARCH! I forgot to say that yesterday. Oops! I’m starting a new series today called “ASK TANYA“. Y’all have been asking me to do this for a while so we will start today and see how it goes. The format of this blog post will be a Q & A. Sort of a coffee talk where we chat on the blog. Plus there is an outfit post and I’ve added to my Shopbop Sale picks. The sale ends on March 3. HURRY!
You can ask me anything, any time. I promise that I will try to get to as many questions as I can. Just think, we may solve all the problems of the world right here. That’s what women do!
Q: The best leave in conditioner for dry hair?
A: I asked my colorist this question and she gave me great feedback. Additionally, I am trying out several products myself as I feel getting Keratin (smoothing) treatments has really dried my hair out. I’m using dpHUE Argan Oil Therapy because Justin Anderson told me its best for blondes (check out this blog post). It’s really light and doesn’t leave an oily feel. I put it on my damp hair before using my Dyson Hair Dryer. Gaby’s suggestions: MoroccanOil Leave In is great. If you have finer hair they make a Light formula too. If you prefer a spray try Pureology Platinum Miracle Filler (for blondes) or Redken United One spray.
Q: How do you organize yourself with work and home. How do you stay motivated with work?
A: Well, that’s a daily balance. I absolutely LOVE what I do. Blogging and working from home. Honestly, sometimes I pinch myself because I’m having so much fun. But it does take organization because there are certainly days I would just like to play with Max and Sparky all day long. I’ve written several blog post in the past about this subject so I am going to link them here. They still hold true today.
Q: What fillers do you use and do you get Botox done?
A: Heck ya’! I’ve done Botox for years in my forehead and crows feet. I don’t have that furrow at the top of my nose so I don’t have to have that injected. I’ve done many posts on the type of injections I’ve done. This post just published this week but I will link some more below. My motto is fight aging with everything you got!
Q: How do you stay so positive, real and in a good routine daily?
A: HA! I’m going to take that as a huge compliment because I really feel like there are days that I am shocked anyone reads this blog or follows me on social media. I truly feel like I must be the most boring person on this planet. Honestly, I’ve always been a hard worker and my achievements come from the hustle. I may not be the best, but I will always be the hardest worker, first to respond and achieve the goal – on time! It’s my A type personality and I can’t turn it off. Some other things that help are 8 hours of sleep each night, a consistent schedule, OLLY nutrition (my friend Mary Meier-Evans says it must be the ENERGY ones) and a “can do” attitude! And I approach everything in life from a perspective of being GRATEFUL! 🙂
